It’s that time of year again, when leaf-peepers are in heaven! I grew up in Connecticut and loved this time of year for its beauty—but hated it because of my allergies (thankfully, I now live in LA, where I don’t have to worry except when the Santa Anas are blowing).

    Yankee Magazine has the best live fall foliage map I’ve seen. It covers the entire country and is updated by county.

    Just visited Hudson River valley and south west Vermont Columbus day weekend. We were told the color was “late” this year. It was about 50% turned but that is a beautiful contrast of green to set off the vibrant colors of autumn.
