If you read my story this week from Sydney, Australia, you know that I was Down Under for Opening Day of the 2014 MLB season. The March 22nd game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks marked the first time ever that a regular season professional baseball game was hosted on the Australian continent—and it was held at the hallowed Sydney Cricket Ground. Sydney Cricket Ground, though, is not a baseball stadium, so its crew had to transform it into one. Led by Murray Cook, they did an impressive and timely job, as seen in the video above.

Sydney is NOT the capital of Australia – never has been and never will be! By the by, Canberra is our capital. I’m pleased that you enjoyed your trip though. Try the South Austrlaian wine country next time.
