Upcoming JFK Runway Construction Project
I usually try to avoid New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) at all costs during rush hour and bad weather—but this year you might want to avoid it period. That’s because the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has begun a that’s expected to continue through the end of 2015. Beginning June 1, 2015 runway 4L-22R will be closed to facilitate the completion of their project. The airport will still have three runways in operation but you can expect lengthy delays during peak times. If you do fly out of JFK, be sure to check your flight status before leaving for the airport.
