My wife Natalie has been having trouble sleeping lately and the doctor suggested she turn off her computer and phone 90 minutes before bedtime. He said he sets his phone alarm clock for the time he wants to shut everything down and sticks to it. Then I read that my colleague Carol Margolis ; she calls the front desk and asks them for a shutdown call. Brilliant, don’t you think? Alarms aren’t just for waking up—they can be a reminder to shut down for the night, too.
