How to Make the Shower Water Hotter
In many of the international destinations I’ve traveled to, I’ve found a safety pin or similar device (see above) on the shower’s temperature control; it’s meant to keep the shower water from getting so hot it scalds you. But if you want to make the water hotter, you can if you know what to do. Before you call down to the front desk to complain, make sure to look and see if there’s a safety on the lever. Usually, you just need to pull it out or push it in to be able to turn the hot water dial to its maximum.
