Sink stopperCarry a Universal Sink Stopper
My buddy Gary Arndt (he runs the site ) recommends long-term travelers always carry a universal sink stopper—a cheap piece of rubber () that you can stuff in a sink or bathtub that otherwise won’t fill so you can do laundry. It also takes up little to no space in your luggage.

I just use one of the plastic travel bags I use to packand compress my clothes in. Fill it with water + soap and swish my clothes around like a mini washing machine!

Always travel with this stopper and wash about everything in the shampoo provided by the hotel!
