One of the five most essential things that travelers should pack for the plane is a set of earplugs. Earplugs come in really handy when there’s a screaming baby onboard and are also helpful when you have noisy neighbors, a barking dog or construction in your hotel or house rental.

Absolutely! This is the single most important essential I NEVER forget to bring in my toiletry kit. Now that I have a small toddler, and I often travel with her, I even bring some for my neighbors sitting next to me on the plane…lol! :o)

The one essential I never leave home without! For the best fit – go to an audiologist and get custom fitted for swimmers’ earplugs. They don’t cancel all noise but most of it and fit like a glove.

I usually bring my Bose noise cancelling head phones but the ear plugs would actually work better and would be helpful for that noisy hotel room I run into from time to time! Thanks!

When I’m on a airplane I use earplugs with my big stereo headphones. It cancels out alot of the airplane engine. Very helpful! Love the combo.

I discovered QUIES, the French wax and cotton marble-sized earplugs, over 40 years ago for noisy dorm room sleeping and studying. Now I never travel without them for airplane roars and squalling kids, and hotel rooms. Warmed for a few minutes in the hand, they just become a concave perfect fit. You get at least a dozen in a box as eventually they wear out, and occasionally they fall out during sleep. Can’t imagine going without them.
