Each Friday, we feature a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from reader Karol:
“I’m not sure if you have previously written about tracking bags via the airline websites? With all the delays and cancelations lately it is sure helpful.
Recently I noticed the ‘track your bag‘ link on AA mobile site. I wanted to track, as my daughter flew standby and missed her flight. I was wondering if her luggage went ahead. I was able to plug in her PNR# and track her bags that arrived four hours before she did. I wasn’t aware of this option and neither were my friends I mentioned it to! Not sure if the other airlines let you track your own bag, but I thought it sure came in handy!”
Yes, Delta started this trend, and then AA followed. It’s a great feature. Thanks, Karol!
