The cruising community recently (I think) designated the month of October as
“Plan a Cruise Month.” They obviously do this to generate sales. The good
news is that October (and January) is a great month to find substantial savings on future cruises.
I highly recommend that you book through a travel agent that specializes in cruises—especially first-timers, since agents usually know the ins and outs of the different ships and can potentially get you a free upgrade. That said, travelers that are cruise-savvy can purchase via the internet to possibly save a little bit of money. Of course, I always check for deals using our search tools and the cruise deals located on our Hundredbacklinks.com deals page (just keep refreshing to see an offer that interests you).
