A Surprising Risk for Parents at Theme Parks

With summer coming, theme parks are going to soon be packed—and a haven for crooks. Something I didn’t really think to worry about before Jack was the risk of having a baby stroller stolen. But that seems to be a big issue at Disney World and other theme parks, as highlighted in .

One woman would target expensive ($1,800) strollers (including all the belongings that were in the basket) while families were on rides and then use her daughter as an accomplice to steal the strollers and sell them on eBay for $500. The point of the tip? Safeguard your strollers and personal belongings—including at the happiest place on Earth.

  1. Say Johnny,
I used to bring a bicycle lock and cable in the stroller bag whenever I took my grandchildren to Disneyland here in Southern California. When parking the stroller I’d thread the plastic covered cable through a front wheel and rear wheel so that the stroller wouldn’t roll.
By the way… Baby Jack is better looking than you!
    Regards
