You can’t write about Singapore and not mention . That’s because it’s one of, if not the best airports in the world. They are always in the top three in polls. For starters the airport is clean, efficient and easy on the eyes. There are five gardens, including a rooftop Cactus Garden at Terminal 1; a Fern Garden, Orchid Garden and Sunflower Garden at Terminal 2; and a Butterfly Garden, home to more than 1,000 butterflies (the only airport in the world to have one) at Terminal 3.
There’s every kind of shop imaginable including a grocery store with more than reasonable prices. Of course, they have free Wi-Fi but they also have 500 free Internet kiosks and free XBOX 360 and PlayStation 3 gaming systems in Terminal 2. There’s a whole kids area with games, shops and even the World’s Tallest Slide in an Airport (Terminal 3). There’s two free open 24 hours in Terminal 2 & 3. Those with a long layover can hit Terminal 1’s rooftop swimming pool or take a free historical or cultural walking tour of Singapore. Bookings can be made at the “” in Terminals 1, 2, and 3.
To top it off it’s not far from the city – a 15-minute ride in a taxi (about $25 SGD) and there’s a train too. Here are all the .
