Know the know the signs of hypothermiaIt was 3ºF in Toronto yesterday, and last night it went down to -8ºF. This morning, it was -1ºF. I know most of the Northeast and upper Midwest is cold, too, so today I’m sharing the signs of hypothermia as (tweet is below). The five symptoms listed in the graphic:

  • Confusion
  • Shivering
  • Difficulty speaking
  • Sleepiness
  • Stiff muscles

Hypothermia is no joke, as it kills a reported 1,300 people each year. Keep an eye out for the symptoms, especially in seniors, in the cold days ahead (and all winter). (most of all call 911 and then wrap the affected person in warmth) from the NWS.
