(U.S. time) that “seven Ryanair cabin crew unions from five countries will hold a 24-hour strike on Sept. 28,” per a Belgian union spokesperson. The five countries affected will be Italy, Portugal, Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands. More news is likely to come, but for now, know that if you plan to fly Ryanair on Friday, September 28, you’ll want to keep an eye on the situation, the airline and even prepare a backup travel plan.
Bonus tip: With Hurricane Florence making landfall as soon as tonight, we’re thinking of all in the storm’s path. Here’s our Hurricane Florence resource page, and here’s a good tip from Twitter for anyone who loses power:
HURRICANE TIP: If u lose electricity, phone service & wifi, just update ur voicemail message greeting 2 notify fam and friends of how u are and keep them updated. U can change ur voicemail greeting as many times as u want and can do it w/o data! Make sure 2 include date & time!

The absence of electricity, cell service (if a tower goes down), etc. may limit your ability to do this, but the point remains to notify family and friends of your status in any way possible if you’re in the hurricane’s path. Stay safe, everyone!
