Photograph Your Rental Car Agreement
Each Friday, we’re featuring a reader-submitted tip as our Travel Tip of the Day. This week’s tip comes from reader Laura O., who says:
“I also wanted to mention a travel tip. I was rear-ended while driving a rental car, and the car was totaled and had to be towed. Unfortunately the rental car agreement was in the glove compartment when it was towed. Our rental car company was slow getting a copy of the agreement to us and the insurance company. Without the rental car agreement, you’re not able to file a claim. Now when I rent a car, I take a photo of the agreement and email it to myself. I also do the same with other important documents, like passports, in case they get lost or stolen.”
