A Question to Ask Your Hotel Before You Arrive

A question to ask your hotel before you arriveAn MSN/Southern Living headline caught my attention recently: “.” That big question, according to the story: “Ask your hotel (or vacation rental or airbnb host) this important, yet oft overlooked. question: What’s the best way to get from the airport to the hotel?”

At first I thought the whole thing was nothing more than clickbait, but on second thought I decided that the tip had some merit. Sites like Rome2rio, Google Maps and Waze don’t always factor in road closures and other complicating variables, and more importantly, they certainly don’t consider whether the hotel at you’re staying offers a free shuttle. So it’s always a good idea to call and ask. I’d even add that it’s a good idea to ask the concierge how to manage the return journey before you leave for the airport/train station, as well.
