Today’s tip is a simple one. If you’re like me, I bet that at some point while recording video on your iPhone, you’ve wished you were able to snap still photos of the moment, too. Well, instead of cutting videos short to switch back to the camera—and back again—there’s an easy way to do both, courtesy of ‘s email newsletter. As written, here’s how to take a still photo while shooting video ( an image for context):
- Open the Camera app and swipe over to Video.
- Tap the red button at the center to start recording video.
- To take a still photo while you’re recording, tap the white button located in the bottom left corner of the screen.
