How to Get Airport and Lounge Wi-Fi Passwords from Around the World

The other day I was in the American Airlines Admirals Club Lounge and saw the lounge Wi-Fi password signs everywhere. While in there, I started thinking: If I hadn’t had a club membership and needed to get on Wi-Fi, I would just go into the lounge and inquire how much a day pass costs (in most airports it’s $59), and then while getting the info I would look for the Wi-Fi passcode that is so prominently displayed everywhere.

Then I thought: What if I tweeted out the monthly universal passcode? Would they ban me from the club? Or better yet, what if someone created a site that listed airport and lounge Wi-Fi codes so I didn’t have to? Sure enough I looked, and guess what? There’s a site. It’s by a guy named Anil Polat who is a travel blogger and computer security engineer. He created for airport-goers to easily find Wi-Fi passwords in dozens of airports around the world. And I can attest that the AA code he has down is the right code.
