This Free App Lets You Take Your Own Passport Photos

Passport photos can be a pain—but they don’t have to be. is a free app for and that helps you take 2″ x 2″ photos to use in a passport, visa, student ID, and more.

To use it, you simply find a white background and follow the app’s prompts to take the photo you need. The app provides requirements for photos that will end up on federal and formal documents, including passport photos, so you can review them before proceeding. Once you have a photo you’re happy with, you can save it, email it to yourself or send it off to be printed. If you do print, you can pick them up at a pharmacy for just $0.50 each or have them shipped to you for $5.95.
