Bring Home Foreign Candy to Give to Trick-or-Treaters

Happy Halloween! Today’s tip—inspired by the holiday—is one for travelers that want to provide for their local trick-or-treaters (next year)…

If you travel internationally before and especially right before Halloween, bring back some favorite sweets and candies from the destination to pass out to trick-or-treaters. Natalie, Jack and I just arrived home from Canada and England, and we stocked up in each. I’m not sure if our neighborhood kids are going to love us or hate us, but for sure they’ll remember us for having the most unique candy!

What do you give your trick-or-treaters? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. When I was stationed in Europe in the USAF countries there were awash in “candy” that contained alcoholic beverages. Better watch out what you hand out to kids if it is from foreign countries and you can’t read the labels.

  2. That’s a great idea! I will say, if we find a house giving out Japanese Kit Kats, we’ll be circling the block all night! ;)
