Download the Gogo Entertainment app

Yesterday, I flew from Los Angeles to Nashville on American Airlines. As passengers were boarding, the flight attendant kept telling people that the plane was new and didn’t have entertainment systems. If we wanted to watch a movie (for free), she said, we’d have to download the Gogo Entertainment app before we pushed back from the gate. Many people were scrambling because phone reception at LAX is not always great. The lesson here is that it’s best that you download the free Gogo Entertainment app (available on both and ) before arriving at the airport. If your flight is Gogo-equipped and lacking entertainment systems, the app will be your only way to watch TV/movies.

FYI: include Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Air Canada, Aeromexico, Delta, Japan Airlines, Japan Transoceanic Air, GOL, and United.

Hey Johnny – on Delta, you can connect to the gogoinflight wifi (above 10k feet) and download the app then install it. I’ve done it myself with my Android phone – maybe with an iPhone that can’t be done because it kind of “side loads” it. Android FTW! :) Keep up the good work!
