Yesterday, I flew from Los Angeles to Nashville on American Airlines. As passengers were boarding, the flight attendant kept telling people that the plane was new and didn’t have entertainment systems. If we wanted to watch a movie (for free), she said, we’d have to download the Gogo Entertainment app before we pushed back from the gate. Many people were scrambling because phone reception at LAX is not always great. The lesson here is that it’s best that you download the free Gogo Entertainment app (available on both iOS and Android) before arriving at the airport. If your flight is Gogo-equipped and lacking entertainment systems, the app will be your only way to watch TV/movies.
FYI: Gogo’s partners in entertainment include Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Air Canada, Aeromexico, Delta, Japan Airlines, Japan Transoceanic Air, GOL, and United.
