There are lots of misconceptions out there about cruising. And I’ll admit – I used to be one of those people who wasn’t sure that cruising was for me. For starters, my name is Hundredbacklinks – not Johnny Ship. But once I started trying out various cruise lines, I quickly saw the appeal of cruising. It’s not just for older folks like some of you might mistakenly believe. Depending on the cruise ship and itinerary you choose, cruises can be perfect for families or romantic getaways for people of all ages. I’ve grown to love many of the advantages of cruising – like being able to unpack your bags and settle into your cabin and being able to visit multiple destinations in one trip.
To help combat some of the misconceptions out there, Carnival Corporation has gotten creative with their marketing efforts. They’ve launched some fun campaigns to get people excited about cruising and to give people the chance to win some great prizes.
First: Get a taste of what it’s like to be an ad exec! Carnival has created a series of television commercials and they want your opinion about which one is best. Just visit CarnivalMarketingChallenge.com to watch the videos. You can vote as many times as you like (just once in a 24-hour period, though). All the people who vote for the winning commercial will be entered into a contest for a chance to win a cruise every year for life on either Carnival, Princess or Holland America cruise lines.
Second: Carnival’s Twitter contest is lots of fun – and so easy to enter. Here’s what you have to do. Follow @CarnivalPLC and send them a tweet using their handle and the hashtag #LoveCruising, telling them your favorite reason to cruise. Each individual / Twitter account can enter 10 times during the contest duration and the prize? 100 days of cruising! Check out for more information and to enter this contest.
So, if you love cruising or are eager to try your first cruise, these contests could be the perfect opportunity for you. Good luck!
Today is the last chance to vote!
