Don’t Always Trust Flight Attendants For Ground Info
I love flight attendants, and when I fly, I usually bring them a box of chocolates or a inflight Wi-Fi pass to thank them for their hard work. (I sometimes give the passenger in front of me a Gogo pass too—so they don’t recline!)
But I’ve learned over the years—when I ask flight attendants questions about changing terminals, airlines, baggage, or even immigration—that I can’t always trust the information they provide. That’s not because they lie or aren’t knowledgeable, but more often because the information they’re citing has changed or they’ve been misinformed. Moral of the story: Ask more than one person if you have questions. And it’s usually best to ask for ground info from the people who work on the ground—and best of all, someone at an information desk.
